FALL FUN ON THE FARM

A few weeks ago, Ben and I went to Sterling, KS to spend some time with his family. His mom grew up in Sterling and both of Ben's parents went to Sterling college there where they met and fell in love & got married :). Ben's Grandparents still have a farm out there,  so every September/October we all try and head out that way to get away from the "city life" and spend time with family on the farm. :)
This year, my sister decided that it would be a good idea to bring pumpkins to paint or carve. It was so much fun, it was my first time ever painting pumpkins and it was a blast!!
There were also these little furry creature's that we found. They came out of the fields Grandpa said and they were EVERYWHERE! You couldn't step somewhere outside without almost stepping on one. i have never seen so many!
We had a total blast with family that day and even though it was a short trip, we always have great memories from it!! :) Can't wait till next year!

The bucket of goodies to decorate the pumpkins

2 amazing beverages that we ALWAYS have at every family gathering

Ben's cousin Karissa trying to catch the little furry creatures.

Ash decided to try and use chalkboard paint for her pumpkin... it was brilliant... so I decided to copy and do the same thing to one of mine :)
