A DAY OF CELEBRATION -- BAPTISM W/MY YOUTH

This past Sunday was an incredible Sunday! I always get so excited when I hear that there are Youth who want to be Baptized. We had 5 youth who decided that it was time to declare their faith & to be obedient to Christ. It was a perfect evening (which was good since we had the Baptism outside) with an amazing Sunset as we closed the evening. I absolutely love my job. Watching students grow in their faith and follow in Christ's footsteps is completely amazing! Congrats you guy's for getting Baptized, I was excited to be able to celebrate with you all!!! 

                                       

                        

KAYLA'S SENIOR PIC {Teaser}

Today was a beautiful day to take pictures! I met Kayla and her mom Vickie at my house and from there we went & found some amazing place to get some incredible pictures! Kayla is a Senior this year at South East of Saline. It was my first time meeting her tonight, but she warmed up to me pretty quick :) We had so much fun finding random places to pose, and she was such a champ. I was the one who was freaking out because of some of the big bugs flying around, and the spiders! But besides those things, I was pretty calm :) Kayla is super gorgeous & a natural in front of the camera. Kayla, thanks for hanging out with me and letting me take your Senior Pictures, I had a blast !!!

Matt & Jaimie Engagement {Teaser}

Last year around this time, I had the privilege of taking my brother (Michael) and his fiance (now wife) Allie's engagement pictures. They then asked me if I would take their wedding pictures, to which I said "yes" of course even thought I was super excited and nervous at the same time!

A year later, my other brother Matthew is now engaged to his incredible fiancé Jaimie! They are high school sweethearts, and it has been awesome seeing their relationship grow over the years! I am so honored to be able to take their engagement pictures as well as their wedding pictures! :)

Matt & Jaimie thanks for hanging out with me yesterday and letting me take your pictures! You two are so gosh darn cute! Jaimie I couldn't have asked for a better girl than you for a wife for my brother! You are incredible and make him so happy, I'm so excited to have you in the family!! :)

Saturday afternoon cruise....

Since I enjoy taking pictures of other people and capturing those awesome smiles and moments, there aren't many times where I get to be the one getting my picture taken, but today I had the opportunity. :)
This fall I have a few SR clients that I will be taking pictures for and so I wanted to drive around Salina to find some awesome and unique places to snap their photos'. I decided to try some poses, and see how I would like the backgrounds!! I loved them all !!! I figured what better way to get better than to practice editing and posing :) Plus, now I have lots more places I can take pictures!!
My husband was a champ and snapped the pictures for me :) I had the settings all ready for him, but he did a great job of taking the pictures! Once we got home (and after we had some S'mores) I began to edit the pictures. So here are the pictures from today's photo shoot with my husband and I :) He is so awesome! We had a great time driving around and just having some time together :) Enjoy the pictures...

DATE NIGHT FOR MY BIRTHDAY...

So my Husband is incredible & knows the way to my heart... Nature & S'mores!! :) Since my birthday fell on a Sunday, and being a youth pastor my busy day is Sunday, him and I didn't get time to get away and celebrate on my birthday, so Monday night was our date night. We went to Coronado Heights which is in Lindsborg, KS. It's such a beautiful place, it's high up on a hill which allows you to see for miles across the fields of KS. So we picked a picnic spot up there and he made fire, grilled some brats, and we ate some dinner. As we were eating we started to feel some rain drops, I hurried and stuffed my face with the rest of my brat, because I wanted to have enough time to make at least 1 S'more before we had to pack up because of the rain. Thankfully I made it :) AND I was able to get 2 S'mores in! :)
As we were loading up the xterra we decided to stick around and just watch the storm roll in. It was a slow moving storm with a little bit of lightening. For my birthday my In-laws got me a tripod for my camera! I figured what better way to have a first photo shoot with it, than try to capture some lightening. Sadly that didn't happen :( However while I was waiting to get a lightening shot, God decided to tell me "Happy Birthday... I love you" with an amazing sunset! It was incredible, one of the most awesome awe moments I have seen. The sun even peeked out a bit behind the clouds which casted a beautiful pink, red, orange, yellow sunset! Just gorgeous! I may have gone a little over board with the sunset pictures (and I even went through and deleted a LOT more than what I have posted) but I couldn't help it. I just wanted to capture every minute of this sunset. haha. Anyway.... I hope you enjoy looking through these pictures. It was a great and wonderful date night for me and a great time that I just got to spend with my husband!!!
