Marcus & Jinny Engagement

I got to travel to my favorite state to take some pictures of this incredible couple that I love.
My brother proposed to Jinny back in June here in Kansas, so we took a few pictures of them at that time, but since they both live in CO, and since that's where Jinny grew up, they wanted some pictures in the mountains and I certainly did not complain.
The scenery was just incredible, and they are so darn cute together. I am so excited for these two love birds as they continue to plan for their big day. So without much rambling, here are the engagement pictures.

I - 70 Baseball Tour

A few weeks ago, Jim (the youth pastor I work alongside) and I took the Gravity youth on a I-70 Baseball tour, and it was AMAZING! I absolutely love baseball, so when Jim told me about this vision he had for a baseball trip, I was all in. 3 MLB games, in 3 days, in 3 states. It was A LOT of driving, but so worth it! If you follow my Instagram (melissak16) I have a highlight of our trip, but I also wanted to make a blog post and show ya a little more detail of our trip.

Here is the schedule of our 3 day trip. We left at 5:00AM Sunday, drove to KC where we dropped our trailer at the church we were staying at, ( we stayed the night at 2 different churches to keep the cost down) and then continued our journey to St.Louis for the Cardinals game. After the game, we went to a fantastic BBQ place (Sugarfire, seriously so good, if you are in the St. Louis area, you have to go try it), and then headed back to KC to hit the hay. We woke up early the next day, had breakfast, and then went and visited some ministry sights in the KC area, getting a glimpse of some possibilities for next summer mission opportunities. We then went sightseeing & ended at the KC Farmers Market.

After a long morning, we came back to the church. The youth snoozed for 30 min, while I went and got a coffee fix... again. Then we headed to the Koffman stadium to watch our KC Royals play. We decided to go in early so that way we could get some signatures. After the game, we headed to the church to sleep, and then it was up early again to make our journey to Denver, CO for the Rockies game, where we ended our trip with a great game and a fantastic Fireworks show. We then headed to the church to sleep, and then it was up early to head back home to Salina with enough time at the end of the day to shoot of fireworks with our families to celebrate the 4th of July.
It was such a fun trip, with a great group of students! Can't wait to do it again!!

 Downtown KC

Jim was hanging onto a spider web that was attached to Nate, so of course we had to capture it on camera.

 Colorado Bound

You know you are traveling with youth when every outlet is filled with phone chargers

They let some sections come onto the field to see the firework show, sadly our section was not one of them, but look at this chaos!!
