Since we didn't camp, we decided to get to the gates as soon as they opened so we could get good seats (especially for the Luke Bryan concert). And we were a success! Stampede played the music that they play at the pig races at the State fair, as everyone is running in to try and get good seats (I think the music helped us to run fast 😉)
It was a great weekend with great people that I got to hang out with, and some great country music!!
Here are a few pictures from our fun weekend!!
They were handing out FREE glow sticks (the only free thing you got there) so of course I was super excited!!
Ashley and I are BIG Luke Bryan fans so this was our excited face about 30 minutes before he walked out on stage!
And here is the main man himself... Ashley stood on a chair to get some of these great pictures with her camera!! So glad she did!
You can't start a day without some good ol coffee either!
While we were killing time before the big concerts in the evening, we walked around to the different vendors. The Marines were there and challenged us to do the "pull up" bar (we just held it for as long as possible, cuz I know there is no way I could do a pull up right now) I held it for 33 seconds which means I need to work out!!
The third day it was raining as we were standing in line waiting for the gates to open! But rain or shine, we were determined to get good seats!!
We got the hang of stampede by day 2, and so we decided once we put our chairs down to mark our spot, we would go out to the car and have a picnic (this saved us money by not having to buy park food for lunch AND dinner) plus it was raining so we got to dry off a bit.
Of course you can't go to country stampede without boots on!
Megan and I about to enjoy an Eric Church concert!!
We also found some of our friends at stampede also! So of course we had to take a picture!
