THE LAST OF THE SNOW DAYS ... :(

So last night the weather men were predicting that Salina was going to get another 4-6inches of snow. With that being said, all the schools in Salina and surrounding areas were all canceling school on Sunday night for Monday. However as we went to bed, Ben still had not heard from K-State here in Salina if they were going to close or not.
It was around 8am this morning, I got up to let my dog outside, and decided to go back to bed for 30 more minutes. As I lay there almost asleep, I get woken up by Ben jolting up with his eyes wide and a big smile on his face. (For those of you who don't know my husband, he is NOT a morning person at all) So of course this startled me and I opened my eyes in a hurry, I asked Ben what was wrong and he said " school is canceled today" :) I have never ever seen my husband wake up so fast and in such a good mood. haha It's amazing what snow can do.
So after eating some breakfast we decided to go out and take pictures of the snow on the trees. Even though we didn't get the 4-6inches that we were hoping for, we did get a little snow during the night that made the trees look beautiful this morning. Ben said he would drive while I got out and took pictures of the beautiful scenery that God had given us during the night, luckily for me I also was able to have Ben pose for a few pictures so i could practice :) ( I also was able to get in some pictures also)
We had a great morning!! Sadly I think that this is the last day for our Snow Days that we are going to get. It's been great having the 5 day weekend and having my husband home :)

Ben decided to walk around the place that I wanted to take his picture at, that way there weren't footprints in the snow in my picture :) He has learned this technique from his mom I think :)

Sorry ladies, this handsome man is taken :)

SLEDDING WITH MY YOUTH..

So I decided the other day that since my youth didn't have school that I would see who all wanted to go sledding!!! I mean who doesn't want to go play in the snow right??? So from 4:30-5:30pm we played in the snow. We went down hills, and off of ramps. I had a great time taking pictures of the students going off the ramps and completely smashing into the snow when they reach earth again... some of their faces are priceless :) Yes I laughed, but it was out of love :) Enjoy these pictures of some pretty awesome students!!! :)
